ANODE RETROFIT AND CATHODIC PROTECTION OF PRODUCTION PLATFORM

Scope of Work: Retrofit and installation of Sacrificial Zinc Anodes on subsea section of 12no Spud Can/Leg type Production Platform (Mr Louie), offshore Ghana. 70Ib weight Sacrificial Zinc Anode Bracelets were fabricated to design specification by Atlantic Marine at its fabrication yard. Post-installation CP measurement measured current density at 2mAmps/sqft at submerged caisson. Underwater installation by Atlantic Marine Divers required employment of wet hyperbaric short-arc welding using burning rig to enhance a high penetration fillet weld profile and minimum stress-induced cracks on the structure.

Anodes were installed at sections 30, 60 and 90fsw. Similar works done consistently at anode expired life for client in 2 previous term regimes. API RD 2X and API RP 2A-WSD
procedural standards were implemented to ensure work quality and assurance measures.
