EXTENSION AND SEABED CONSTRUCTION OF 50FT BY 40FT TEMA PORT HARBOUR

Scope of Work: Extension works on the Tema Port Harbour was awarded to an Interberton JV. The Seabed foundation works were sub-contracted to Atlantic Marine by extention from Aquatec.
Appreciable tons of lavanic granite rocks were installed at the seabed, building a rock-armour sub-base. Two 1,500-cfm/450 psi compressors were used to generate up to 3,000 cfm of pressurized air for jetting operation in the development of optimum sediment settlement. Atlantic Marine divers piloted the gliding operations of pre-cast interlocking concrete Pile construction on the seabed. Work procedures were done in accordance with AM Doc 12/3.5 SP - Atlantic Marine Practice for Safety and Offshore operations.
