SEABED PROTECTION FOR PRODUCTION PLATFORM SCOUR AFFECTED ZONE

Scope of Work: Atlantic Marine provided reinforced double-lay bed protection to retard and cure festering scour affected zone at 90+fsw of Production Platform (Mr. Louie) spud footings in the Saltpond field. Configuration of granular filters were deployed at the desired direction to tidal currents and knitted scour “mattress” in bagged modular construct to reduce the lifting head at the seabed necessary for soil instability. Anchor pins were applied at the media interface ensuring adequate reinforcement to the fabric
matrix. Work procedures were done in accordance with AM Doc 12/3.5 SP – Atlantic Marine Practice for Safety and Offshore operations.
