DIVER INTERVENTION AND SALVAGE OPERATIONS FOR CORING AND GEOTECHNICAL OPERATION.

Scope of Work: Atlantic Marine was contracted to provide diving support services for Coring/Geotechnical investigation. Coring samples were recovered at various depths +fsw over 60 workstations.

The restrained drill string in a deviated run line constituted non-productive time during the coring operation. Atlantic Marine Divers provided Double-spread CVI inspection and applied Wet Arc Plasma techniques to salvage ASTM A53 Seamless 4 inches steel pipe, wall thickness 1.15 inches yield strength 35ksi. Collet temperature was kept at 60000 C to temper the molten pool and suitable travel speed was adopted creating uniform HAZ across
each pass.
