MAT SALVAGE, ULTRA-THERMIC BURNING/CUTTING AND REHABILITATION OF PHENIX EXPLORER JACKUP BARGE

Scope of Work: Atlantic Marine completed the resurface salvage of the Phenix Explorer barge sunk Aladja Warri. After the successful cutting/burning of the hydraulic jackup spudding legs using applied Wet Arc Plasma techniques to remove ASTM A53 steel pipe at 40000C collet temperature and using the tempering molten pool technique created uniform HAZ across each pass. Atlantic Marine sub-sea engineers raised the barge to surface using pre-designed 4nos, 950kgf, Helium filled inflatable floaters.
